The Fun Questions Tag

UK has been spleeeeendid, and I just haven’t exactly gotten any clear ideas as to what I should write about here on the blog lately just yet during my time pre-writing this whole thing. Guess I was still not inspired enough to actually place my self in a casual position on doing so. Psh so yeah, these array of answered fun questions tag is what you’ll get from me today. Read on if you wish to know more! (Or not. Hey, do what you want, I’m not stopping ya.)

1) When is your birthday? (You don’t have to include the year if you don’t want to.)

April 3rd. 🙂

2) What are 3 of your favorite colors?

I haven’t actually marked any color as a favorite one for me lately, but I’ll go with  pretty much anything pastel for now.

3) What are your 3 favorites quotes?

This I found on one evening while I was casually scrolling through my instagram feeds, which I find super relatable for me up until this very moment I’m writing this post. (Possibly written by a brilliant anonymous author):

“May the space between where I am, and where I want to be inspire me.”

And another one that simply made it to my game changer post a few days back:

“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.” – Hans F. Hansen

I can’t think of any more quotes that really speak to me for me to show right now, so I’ll just have to go with the first quote that pops in my head from another instagram post I managed to screenshot the other day (also by an anonymous author, sorry!)

“Flowers grow back, even when they are stepped on. So will I.”

4) What are 3 of your favorite shows on TV or YouTube or both?

I like to keep up with Asia’s Next Top Model recently, and have been seeing a lot of Booktuber videos on YouTube everyday for quite a while now. But I liked Sherlock and 13 Reasons Why, in which both shows I already did okay reviews on in the past.

5) What are 3 qualities you like in a best friend?

One who sticks with me through thick and thin, accepts me for who I am, and one who does not backstab me for no apparent reason. (:

6) Do you like your name?

I kind of altered my original name into something western-ish ever since I was in like 5th grade, then I actually go by that name in public, so even sometimes up until now, some people would still remember those days and call me Jane Carrie for that reason. But as the years went by, I finally get to learn to accept the original name being given to me since birth, and yeah. I guess you could say I like it a lot better now.

7) If you have the choice to pick your own name, what will it be?

No, I’m not going to go by the name of Jane Carrie again, if that’s what you’re thinking. I’ve always liked the name Charice, though. It sounds very pretty and it really spells out beautifully to me personally. (:

8) What is your fantasy dream?

To be able to purchase any book I wish without looking at the price tag ever again. I know, it’s lame. That’s what you get for asking a bibliophile.

9) Do you wear makeup?

Honestly, I only wear them when it really is necessary, for instance, during parties, and sometimes competitions. I’m not exactly talking about extravagant, on-fleek make-ups, though (believe me, I suck at it), but more like natural, light ones that would brighten a little more complexion of my face to look at least presentable.

10) If you could write a book, what would the title be and what would it be about

Ahh, I seriously don’t know yet. I’m thinking of writing an own-voices novel where I talk about the challenges I face as a teen/YA, or a self-help book, or umm perhaps a memoir?? It has been a life-long dream for me to write and publish at least one book in my lifespan, that I should really kick myself to start on it very soon.

11) What makes you cry?

Movies that really had their ways of moving my heart like: The Good Dinosaur, or Stand by Me, and Hachiko (judge me all you want). Sometimes awful results I get on grades, and emotional breakdowns.

12) What makes you angry?

That I sometimes don’t get to do things right, and when I often misplace items, I don’t end up finding them back where I thought I last saw them at. I know. Pathetic, isn’t it?

13) What makes you happy?

Getting a new book, seeing the look on my parents when they say they’re proud of what I’ve come to achieve, and getting to spend some quality time with my grandma. Yay.

14) What is “Fangirling?”

Something I haven’t been doing a lot lately for I haven’t quite found the perfect fandom to join in yet.

15) What are your 3 favorite snacks?

Aha, a chance to plug in one of my all time favorite snacks, Zanana Chips. Irvins Salted Egg sounds nice too (open for a local pre-order, contact me for details!). #noshame

16) What are your 3 favorite foods?

I lovelovelove moonlight cakes for life. And bread pudding. And cookies and cream flavored ice cream. Yaaaas.

17) What are your 3 favorite drinks?

I could drink a loooooooot of water in a day, perhaps literally more than I should. Aside from that, I do enjoy a nice fresh cold-pressed orange juice, especially one that is made  entirely out of love by my grandma.

18) Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Hmm, let’s see. My name is Janice Kariyadi, just turned 17 several months ago, and still have not acquired myself a driver’s license (which is super sad). I am super passionate about writing, even if I may not the best one out there to compare with. I’d love to own my very own private library someday, and I often daydream about getting an acceptance letter to Stanford University with a full 100% scholarship in the palm of my hands one day. (What? Too much?)

19) What are 10 random facts about you?

1. I play ping pong, still a complete noob at it but I’d say it’s a go. 2. I secretly wish to learn how to play the violin. 3. Yearns to experience studying abroad, preferably in the US. Specifically at Stanford. 4. I’m a sucker for extreme rides on amusement parks. 5. Insects (especially giant icky flies and cockroaches) are a definite no-go for me. 6. I love listening to Lindsey Stirling. 7. Art is certainly not my thing. I do like admiring them, though. 8. I misplace things. A LOT. 9. I like to think that I should live a life with no regrets. & 10. I’m super awful at organizing things. Ugh.

20) What are your 3 fun things to do?

Watching YouTube, reading books, and writing (well DUH).

Aaaand yes! This marks the end of today’s fun questions tag! I’ll link the original post in which where I discovered this, for you to check out. Also, feel free to do it if you wish to as well! (: This post was scheduled to be uploaded AT LEAST by the time I arrive on my first day at Manchester, but turns out I might’ve waited a little too long for it to come out. I’m down to my last few days of stay here, and had seen, learned, and experienced TOO MUCH on my plate that I cannot wait to write ALL ABOUT IT once I get back.

I’ll make sure to tune it in for y’all to see,
